Abstract:
In the present invention a communication system includes a transmission device for transmitting information and a reception device for receiving information, and the reception device has a determination unit for determining whether an electronic certificate of the transmission device used in communication with the transmission device is an EV certificate. The reception device changes a process that is executed in accordance with the determination result from the determination unit, thereby making it possible to detect a communication partner for whom legitimacy is not guaranteed.
