Abstract:

A communication system servicing mobile terminals by means of a wireless communication network and provided with a network monitoring apparatus monitoring the communication quality of an entire area and a terminal information collection apparatus suppressing, according to the communication quality of the entire area, the propagation environment quality measurements, which are carried out by the mobile terminals in the area. With this configuration, the measurement load in the mobile terminals can be changed according to the communication quality of the entire area. For example, by forbidding mobile terminals from carrying out quality measurement operations according to the communication quality of the entire area, the measurement load of the mobile terminals can be reduced.
