Abstract:
Provided are a compatibilizer for a polyester resin capable of improving compatibility over the prior art and a polyester resin composition using the same. This compatibilizer comprises a polycarbodiimide compound represented by formula (1), the polycarbodiimide compound having a carbodiimide equivalent of 280 or more. (In formula (1), R1 and R2 are residues of an organic compound having one functional group having reactivity with an isocyanate group, with the functional group removed. R3 is a divalent residue of a diisocyanate compound with two isocyanate groups removed. R4 is a divalent residue of a diol compound with two hydroxyl groups removed. X1 and X2 are bonds formed by reaction with the functional group of the organic compound and each of the two isocyanate groups of the diisocyanate compound, and m, n=1-20, m+n≤25, and p=0-39, where the number of carbodiimide groups per molecule is 2 to 40.)
