Abstract:
An composite active material according to the present invention has an active material and a surface part that is disposed on a surface of the active material and that contains a sulfur-containing compound. The active material contains a composite oxide that contains a lithium (Li) element, manganese (Mn) element, and oxygen (O) element and that has a spinel-type crystal structure. It is preferable for the active material to contain an M1 element, such as nickel, and an M2 element, such as titanium and aluminum. Further, it is preferable for the composite oxide to be represented by Li1+x(M1yM2zMn2-x-y-z)O4-δ(wherein 0≤x≤0.20, 0.20≤y≤1.20, 0≤z≤0.5, and 0≤δ≤0.2).
