Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a composite device which contributes to the miniaturization of a vehicular air conditioning device or the like, and with which it is possible to ensure cooling (heat dissipation) performance of switching elements that convert direct-current voltage into alternating-current voltage. This composite device (1), which has a refrigerant compression function and a heat medium heating function, includes: a first housing (2A) that accommodates, in series therein, a compression mechanism (3) for compressing a refrigerant, and an electric motor (4) for driving the compression mechanism (3); a second housing (2B) that accommodates therein an electric heater (5) for heating the heat medium; and a third housing (2C) that accommodates therein a motor drive circuit (20) and a heater control circuit (30). In the third housing (2C), first power switching elements (Q1-Q6) of the motor drive circuit (20) are disposed so as to be able to be cooled by the refrigerant that has flowed into the first housing (2A) from a refrigerant inflow port (8), and so as to be able to also be cooled by the heat medium that has flowed into the second housing (2B) from a heat medium inflow port (10).
