Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a composite device that contributes to size reduction of a vehicle air-conditioning device or the like, and that is capable of mitigating a decrease in the start-up performance of a refrigerant compressing function at low temperatures. [Solution] A housing 2 of a composite device 1 with a refrigerant compressing function and a heat medium heating function comprises: a first housing 2A in which a compressing mechanism 3 for compressing a refrigerant and an electric motor 4 for driving the compressing mechanism 3 are housed in series; a second housing 2B in which an electric heater 5 for heating a heat medium is housed; and a third housing 2C in which the motor drive circuit 20 and the heater control circuit 30 are housed. The first housing 2A, the second housing 2B, and the third housing 2C are integrally combined. The second housing 2B and the third housing 2C are combined such that an electrolytic capacitor EC of the motor drive circuit 20 in the third housing 2C can be warmed by the electric heater 5 in the second housing 2B.
