Abstract:
Provided is a composite fiber characterized in that, in a fiber lateral cross section, two types of polyester that differ in molecular weight by not less than 5,000 are comprised, the high molecular weight component is completely covered with the low molecular weight component, and the high molecular weight component has an orientation parameter of 1.5-3.0 and a crystallinity of 0-40%. Also provided is a multifilament characterized in that, in a fiber lateral cross section, two types of polyester that differ in molecular weight by not less than 5,000 are comprised, the high molecular weight component is completely covered with the low molecular weight component, and the high molecular weight component has an orientation parameter of 5.0-15.0 and a crystallinity of 20-50%.
