Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for improving the vaginal health of women comprising poly-gamma-glutamic acid or a salt thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a composition for improving the vaginal health of women that inhibits the growth of Candida albicans, which is a major pathogen causing diseases related to the female urinary and reproductive systems, such as vaginitis, itching and odors, by using poly-gamma-glutamic acid. Thus, the composition for improving the vaginal health of women causes less adverse side effects compared to existing treatment methods for the female reproductive system, soaps, and body cleansers, and can used continuously due to excellent safety.
