Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless power transmission control method and apparatus, and a wireless power transmission control method of a wireless power transmitter, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a first packet reception step of receiving a foreign material detection state packet; a first determination step of determining whether a foreign material is present, on the basis of the foreign material detection state packet; and a power control step of controlling power on the basis of the determination result of the first determination step, wherein the power control step can include: a first power transmission mode for transmitting first power when it is determined from the determination result of the first determination step that foreign material is present; and a second power transmission mode for transmitting second power when it is determined from the determination result of the first determination step that foreign material is not present. Therefore, the present invention has advantages of enabling more effective and accurate detection of foreign material and minimization of unnecessary charging stops.
