Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition including a Platycarya strobilacea extract as an active ingredient for prevention or treatment of vascular calcification. Being free of cytotoxicity and having an inhibitory effect against the deposition of calcium in vascular cells, the Platycarya strobilacea extract can find advantageous applications in the above purpose.
