Abstract:
A composition comprising: a liquid crystal block copolymer which is composed of a polymer component (A) containing an alkylene oxide chain and a polymer component (B) containing a C2-20 alkylene chain, wherein the polymer component (A) and the polymer component (B) are covalently bound to each other directly or with a linking group interposed therebetween and the polymer component (B) has a C6-50 mesogenic side chain; and a reactive liquid crystal compound represented by general formula (X) (wherein one of Q1 and Q2 represents a reactive group, the other of Q1 and Q2 which is not a reactive group represents a substituent; L1 and L4 independently represent a bivalent linking group, wherein one of L1 and L4 contains a C2-20 alkylene group; L2 and L3 independently represent a single bond or a specific bivalent linking group; Cy1, Cy2 and Cy3 independently represent a bivalent cyclic group; and n represents an integer of 0 to 3). The composition enables the formation and fixation of a cylindrical structure having little defects and having a large domain size, and also enables the economically reasonable production of a microphase-separated structure membrane having excellent industrial processability.
