Abstract:
This invention relates to a composition for an optical material capable of suppressing the occurrence of uneven polymerization called striae, in particular the occurrence of striae on a sharply curved high-strength lens. This invention more specifically relates to a composition for an optical material containing: a stabilizer, the stabilizer having a dibutyltin dichloride/monobutyltin dichloride mass ratio of 97.0/3.0 to 100.0/0.0; an episulfide compound; a polythiol compound; and a polymerization catalyst for the episulfide compound.
