Abstract:

The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or ameliorating skin damage, containing a plant extract as an active ingredient. A composition comprising a plant extract, according to one aspect, inhibits MMP-1 expression and increases the expression of procollagen type I and skin barrier-related factors, and thus can be effectively used in the prevention or amelioration of skin damage.
