Abstract:
Provided is a compressor including: a cylindrical motor case (110) that surrounds a compression mechanism (200) about the axis (X) thereof; a lower case (130) that blocks an opening (111) of the motor case (110) and that is mated with an inner circumferential surface of the motor case (110), thus defining a containment room (C1) into which a refrigerant is introduced between the lower case (130) and the motor case (110); a first O-ring (151) that is provided, around the axis (X), in a facing section where the fitted motor case (110) and lower case (130) face each other; and a second O-ring (152) that is provided, around the axis (X), in the facing section. The first O-ring (151) is provided at a position closer to a starting point of the facing section on the side of the containment room (C1) than the second O-ring (152) is. The first O-ring (151) has more excellent refrigerant resistance and/or oil resistance than the second O-ring (152). The second O-ring (152) has more excellent sealing properties than the first O-ring (151) at a temperature of -20°C or lower.
