Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a cylindrical motor case (110) that encircles an axis (X) of a compression mechanism (200); a lower case (130) that closes an opening (111) of the motor case (110) and fits against the inner peripheral surface of the motor case (110) to delimit an accommodation chamber (C1), into which refrigerant is introduced, in the space between the motor case (110) and the lower case (130); a first O-ring (151) that is provided around the axis (X) at a facing site where the motor case (110) and the lower case (130), which have been fit together, face each other in a planar manner; and a second O-ring (152) that is provided around the axis (X) at the facing site, wherein the first O-ring (151) is provided to a location closer to a start point, which is at the side of the facing site that is toward the accommodation chamber (C1), than the second O-ring (152) is, the first O-ring (151) has better refrigerant resistance and/or oil resistance than the second O-ring (152) does, and the second O-ring (152) has better sealing properties than the first O-ring (151) does at temperatures of -20 °C and below.
