Since damage due to harmful insects and the like remains significant in the production of agricultural or horticultural crops, the present invention provides a condensed heterocyclic compound or salts thereof, said compound being a new insecticide compound for agricultural and horticultural use for controlling the occurrence, etc., of harmful insects resistant to existing drugs, is represented by general formula (1) (in the formula, R1 represents (a1) a (C1-C6) alkyl group, and R2 represents (b1) a halo (C1-C6) alkyl group; A1, A3, and A4 represent a CH group; A2 represents a C-CF3 group; B1 and B2 represent a nitrogen atom or a CH group; B3 represents N-Me; B4 represents a nitrogen atom; and G1, G2, and G3 represent a carbon atom. R3 represents (c7) a halo (C1-C6) alkyl group, R5 represents (d2) a (C1-C6) alkyl group, and R4 and R7 represent (e1) a hydrogen atom. m represents 0, 1, or 2). The present invention also provides an insecticide containing said compound, and a method for using same.
