Abstract:

Compounds represented by the formula (I), wherein X represents an optionally substituted cyclic group, Y represents a carboxyl group which may optionally be esterified or amidated, Z represents a group of -CH=CH-CH=N-, -S-(CH2) l -S- ( l : an integer of 1 to 3), -N=CH-CH=N- or -(CH2)m- (m: an integer of 3 to 5), ring A may optionally by substituted by halogen, nitro, amino, alkanoylamino, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy or carbamoyl, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3, and salts thereof. These compounds show a strong antianxiety effect on mammals, and are useful for prophylaxis and treatment of, for example, psychosomatic disease and anxiety neurosis.
