Abstract:
Provided are a conductive composition that has excellent dispersion stability of metal particles and that makes it possible to easily record a conductive image having excellent conductivity even by simple post-processing, and a method for the production of the conductive composition. The conductive composition contains metal particles and a polypeptide, and at least part of the surface of the metal particles is covered by the polypeptide. The polypeptide has at least one type of amino acid unit selected from the group consisting of acidic amino acids and neutral amino acids, and the proportion (mass%) of the polypeptide accounted for by amino acid units is 95 mass% or more.
