Abstract:
Provided is a confirmation method having: a step in which first verification information is transmitted to a device to be confirmed; a step in which the first verification information is converted on the basis of second verification information, and third verification information is generated; a step in which there is received, from the device to be confirmed, (i) fifth verification information that is generated by the device to be confirmed by converting the first verification information on the basis of fourth verification information that satisfies a first mathematical relationship with the second verification information, or (ii) sixth verification information that is derived from the first verification information and fourth verification information or derived from the fifth verification information by the device to be confirmed using a second mathematical relationship that the third verification information and fifth verification information should satisfy when the device to be confirmed is a regular device; and a step in which a determination as to whether the device to be confirmed is a regular device is made on the basis of the third verification information and the fifth verification information or sixth verification information.
