Abstract:
The present invention relates to a console box cover and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein a console box cover is manufactured, without using leather or artificial leather (hereinafter, referred to as "leather"), to have the same shape, corrugated pattern, and color as when leather is attached to cover the outer surface thereof. The console box cover and the method for manufacturing the same, according to the present invention, are characterized in that the method comprises: a step of fabricating a wooden model; a lower mold fabricating step of fabricating a lower mold having an inner bottom surface, using the wooden model, such that, among irregular corrugated patterns of sewing threads and leathers, which are obtained by sewing and joining cut leathers, and which protrude from the surface, protruding patterns are further indented from the bottom surface in proportion to the degree of protrusion, and, among irregular corrugated patterns of needle holes, joining groove portions, and leathers, indented patterns protrude from the bottom surface in proportion to the degree of indentation; an upper mold fabricating step of fabricating an upper mold having a lower surface formed such that the core is coupled thereto; an application step of successively applying a mold releasing agent and paint of a desired color to the bottom surface of the lower mold; and a product molding step of coupling the upper mold, to which the core has been coupled, to the lower mold, and injecting and foaming a foaming liquid into a cavity formed between the core and the paint such that the foamed material is attached to the outer surface of the core as a single body, and the paint forms a coat on the surface of the foamed material as a single body, thereby obtaining the same product as a cover covered with a leather outer sheath.
