Abstract:
Provided is a constant velocity universal joint 11 comprising an outer joint member 12 and an inner joint member 13 which transmits torque between the inner joint member 13 and the outer joint member 12 through balls 14 while allowing angular displacement, wherein: a power transmission shaft 25 is joined to the inner joint member 13 so that torque is transmittable; and a mounting and demounting mechanism 33 for mounting and demounting the power transmission shaft 25 to and from the inner joint member 13 is provided between the inner joint member 13 and the power transmission shaft 25. The mounting and demounting mechanism 33 is provided with: a cylindrical member 34 extended to the inner joint member 13 and fitted over the power transmission shaft 25; an affixation member 36 accommodated within the cylindrical member 34 so as to be radially movable; and an annular member 37 disposed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical member 34 so as to be axially movable. The affixation member 36 can be mounted to and demounted from the power transmission shaft 25 by axially moving the annular member 37 to radially move the affixation member 36 within the cylindrical member 34.
