Provided is an electronic apparatus that comprises: an acceleration sensor for detecting an acceleration value; a barometric sensor for detecting a barometric value; a communication unit for receiving information for identifying the proximity of a user of the own apparatus to an intersection; and a controller for determining whether the user of the own apparatus is moving by a predetermined moving mode on the basis of the acceleration value. If the approach of the user to an intersection is detected when the user is moving by the predetermined moving mode, the controller performs determination processing for determining, on the basis of a change in the barometric value, whether there is a high probability of the user passing over the road at the intersection after approaching the intersection. If the result of the determination processing is that there is a high probability of the user passing over the road at the intersection, the controller transmits, to a roadside machine, a notification that the user is passing through the intersection. If the result of the determination processing is that there is not a high probability of the user passing over the road at the intersection, the controller does not transmit, to a roadside machine, a notification that the user is passing through the intersection.
