Abstract:
In this invention, at least one position on the surface of a piece of firewood is provided with a hole having a bottomed hole or a through-hole, and a plurality of pieces of such firewood are joined while an arbitrary interval is maintained therebetween by joining means capable of being fitted into the holes thereof, said joining means being formed into a rod shape from wood material or bamboo material. This can prevent the firewood from tumbling, while allowing a plurality of pieces of firewood to be handled as a single body. In addition, an extremely important characteristic is the advantage wherein by allowing the gap distance between firewood pieces to be adjustable, the amount of oxygen supplied can be controlled appropriately so that the combustion state can be adjusted.
