Abstract:

A container carrying conveyor apparatus, comprising a pair of single-stage or multi-stage endless chains (15) mutually turning and running oppositely to each other in parallel on a same plane, sprockets (16, 17) around which the endless chains are wound, a drive shaft (25) and a driven shaft (26) or two drive shafts holding the sprockets, a container holder (24) having holding pieces fitted to the endless chains and capable of holding square cylindrical containers, at least two drive motors (27) driving the drive shafts independently of each other and turning and running the pair of endless chains independently of each other, and a control means (28) controlling the drive motors. The control means is so formed as to control the carrying of the square cylindrical containers in the state of the container holder supporting both rear corner parts of the square cylindrical containers of rhomboid or parallelogram in cross section in the moving forward direction to uniformize loads on the endless chains. Thus, the life of the endless chains can be extended.
