Abstract:
Provided is a container transport device capable of causing a container stack rolling on an inclined surface to move straight. A container transport device (1) for transporting a container stack (9) comprises a plurality of containers (9a) stacked in a vertical direction of the containers (9a), the containers including a circular bottom portion (90) and a tapering side wall (91) with decreasing diameter toward the bottom portion (90), the container having an opening (92) defined at an upper end of the side wall (91) and a flange (93) formed around the opening (92) and protruding in an outer diameter direction. The device, which transports the stack by causing the stack to roll in a circumferential direction of the opening (92), is provided with an inclined transport portion (10) disposed on a downstream side in a transport direction of the container stack (9) while being inclined to descend, the inclined transport portion having a plurality of regulation rails (12) disposed along the transport direction at mutually different positions in a width direction on a transport surface having a predetermined width in a width direction perpendicular to the transport direction, the rails regulating the flange (93) in the width direction while abutting on the side wall (91).
