Abstract:
A hygienically improved container-transporting conveyor with container holders connected to endless chains. Efficiency for cleaning the conveyor is enhanced and contamination by lubrication water poured on long bar-like guide members is reduced as much as possible. The conveyor has container holders and the long bar-like guide members. The container holders have holding elements attached to the chains and capable of holding square cylinder-like containers. The guide members guide the chains, to which the holding elements are attached, in a transportation direction. The conveyor is characterized in that the guide members are mounted substantially below or above the chains, spaced away from them. The guide members are attached, on the opposite side of the containers, to vertical members for supporting the holding elements, and supported by projection members provided substantially above or below the chains so as to face them.
