Abstract:
A container for transporting and storing a cryobox, the container characterized by having: a box part for housing a cryobox, wherein the upper surface section of the box part opens and the box part has a slit for extracting the cryobox in a side surface section, and/or has an opening section for lifting the cryobox in the bottom surface section; and a lid part that covers the upper surface section of the box part, and can be opened and closed. This container is utilized as a new means for transporting and storing a cryobox, said new means enabling the transportation to and storage under cryopreservation conditions in a cryopreservation container or a deep freezer according to a unified work procedure and at a reduced cost, and enabling concealment, from a worker of the entity contracted to store samples, information regarding the frozen samples to be stored, while minimizing temperature changes and impacts, caused by a worker who is carrying out the contracted storage, to the cryobox housing containers holding the frozen samples, without changing a contractee's usual work procedure relating to cryopreservation.
