Abstract:
A container manufactured by pressing and vacuum-drawing a sheet material of plastics and composed of a first member (2) for extracting rods such as applicators and a second member (3) for containing the rods. These first and second members are made integral to have the same contour. The container is given a flat structure by folding it at a joint portion (4) into halves and by overlapping and binding the first and second members to form a rod accommodating portion for accommodating the rods (5) therein. The rods are juxtaposed in the container and held by a constricted portion (9) so that they are prevented from protruding or popping out of the container. For use, the fingers of a user are inserted into a rod exit (7) to pinch and extract the intermediate portion of a rod. Then, the constricted portion is opened by the rod but is then returned to its initial shape by its own elastic restoration so that the remaining rods are prevented from protruding to the outside of the container. The container is so thin that it has an excellent portability and has such a thin structure that it can be massively manufactured of the sheet material.
