In a content distributing apparatus (100), an input part (101) accepts a distribution request input related to a content request. A determining part (102) determines, based on the input distribution request, an apparatus to which the content is to be distributed. An acquiring part (103) acquires billing information related to a payment equivalent to the content in the determined apparatus to which the content is to be distributed. A generating part (104) generates an authentication file that authenticates a term of availability within which the content can be viewed or listened in accordance with the equivalent payment in the acquired billing information. An output part (105) then provides the generated authentication file to the determined apparatus to which the content is to be distributed.
