Abstract:
A strip-shape softened resin sheet S continuously extruded from a molten resin extruder is cut into strip-shape softened resin sheets S, and the strip-shape softened resin sheets S are made into press molded products in a press molding machine. This heating device 16, for heating a unit resin sheet U prior to press molding with a press molding machine, is configured from a primary heating furnace 84 and a secondary heating furnace 86. The primary heating furnace 84 is provided with a series of heaters 84-3, 84-4 in which infrared rays in the far infrared region are the heat source, and the secondary heating furnace 86 is provided with a series of heaters 86-3, 86-4 in which infrared rays in the middle infrared region are the heat source. In the primary heating furnace 84, while continuously conveying the unit resin sheet U at a low speed, the unit resin sheet U is gradually heated with far infrared rays to a temperature slightly lower than the temperature suitable for press molding; in the secondary heating furnace 86, the unit resin sheet U is stopped and heated rapidly with middle infrared rays. Thus, cycle time is shortened by efficient heating of the unit resin sheet U, enabling increasing production speeds.
