Abstract:
Provided is a control apparatus for a vehicle driving apparatus, which executes torque-down control during a gear-change operation of an automatic transmission, and wherein an electric circuit containing a smoothing capacitor can be made more compact and lower in cost. A power-generation inhibition range (A01), within which the state of a vehicle is to belong before an evaluation is made whether or not a gear-change is to be executed, is preset, and when the vehicle state is evaluated as belonging in the power-generation inhibition range (A01), a power-generation-fluctuation inhibition controlling means (96) executes power-generation-fluctuation inhibition control that inhibits the increase rate of the total power to be generated by motors (MG1, MG2) to be not more than a power-generation increase-rate inhibition value (LTGN). Therefore, since a sudden increase in the total power to be generated by the motors (MG1, MG2) is inhibited before starting a torque-down control to be executed during a gear-change of the automatic transmission (22), surplus power will become smaller, and the capacitance of an inverter smoothing capacitor (66) can be configured to be smaller. That is, a power supply control circuit (60) including the capacitor (66) is enabled to be made more compact and lower in cost.
