Abstract:
A control device (30) is applied to a system comprising a rotary electric machine (40) that has: a stator (50) including a stator winding (52); and a rotor (60) including a field winding (70). In order to control the torque of the rotary electric machine so that the same equals a command torque, the control device comprises: a manipulation unit that manipulates a current flowing in the stator winding and a field current flowing in the field winding; and a determination unit that determines whether there is a surge in the command torque. The manipulation unit sets the excitation level of the field winding, in a predetermined period after a surge in the command torque is determined, within a period from when the surge in the command torque is determined until the torque of the rotary electric machine converges on the command torque, to be greater than the excitation level of the field winding in a period after the predetermined period.
