Abstract:
The present invention provides a control device for a vehicle steering system, the control device being capable of appropriately determining a detection value anomaly in a temperature sensor. The control device comprises a processing unit that monitors abnormal heat generation in a first component subject to temperature monitoring on the basis of a detection value (Vt1) from a first temperature sensor and monitors abnormal heat generation in a second component subject to temperature monitoring on the basis of a detection value (Vt2) from a second temperature sensor. When the ignition of a vehicle is turned off and then turned on after a predetermined time threshold (ΔTs) is exceeded, and the difference value (|Vt1 - Vt2|) between the detection value (Vt1) according to the first temperature sensor and the detection value (Vt2) according to the second temperature sensor exceeds a predetermined detection value difference threshold (ΔVtth), the processing unit determines that a detection value anomaly has occurred in one or both of the detection value (Vt1) from the first temperature sensor and the detection value (Vt2) from the second temperature sensor.
