Abstract:
The present application relates to a control method and apparatus for preventing an air conditioner from overheating. The control method comprises: after an air conditioner enters a heating mode, continuously measuring the temperature of an evaporator; and when the temperature of the evaporator is not less than a thermal protection threshold value of the evaporator, performing cooling control on the evaporator on the basis of an operating mode of an up-down air swing deflector. In the present application, when the temperature of an evaporator of an air conditioner is too high, the air conditioner is not directly subjected to thermal protection, but the evaporator is subjected to cooling control in a targeted mode according to the current operating mode of an up-down air swing deflector. In this way, the number of times of triggering thermal protection is reduced to the greatest extent, so that the problem of a poor heating effect caused by the triggering of thermal protection is solved, thereby finally achieving the effect of improving the usage experience of a user.
