Embodiments of the present application provide a control method and device for a clothes care machine, and a medium and the clothes care machine. The method comprises: obtaining odor information of clothes to be cared according to a triggered clothes care instruction, the odor information being obtained by an odor detection device in the clothing care machine; determining the odor type and the odor concentration level of said clothes according to the odor information; determining clothes care control information according to the odor type and the odor concentration level of said clothes, the clothes care control information comprising the deodorant type, fan speed information and ventilation information of a steam generation device; and performing care on said clothes according to the clothes care control information. According to the embodiments of the present application, the unpleasant odor of said clothes can be effectively removed, and the clothes care efficiency is improved.
