Abstract:
This control valve is provided with: a cylindrical valve body 27 having a plurality of retard ports 34 and advance ports 35 formed therein; and a spool valve 29 provided to be axially movable inside a valve hole 27a formed inside the valve body. The valve body includes a large-diameter part 27e comprising a shaft part 27c in an axial movement range of the spool valve, and a small-diameter part 27f that is outside the movement range of the spool valve, has an outer diameter smaller than that of the large diameter part, and has a male screw part 27h formed on an outer periphery thereof. The valve body includes an inwardly protruding cylindrical inner peripheral protruding part 51 in an axial range radially overlapping a male screw part on an inner periphery of the small-diameter part. With these configurations, it is possible to attain downsizing of a cam bearing and to set the fastening torque between a male screw part and a female screw part to a necessary value for a desired axial force.
