Abstract:
A cooling system according to the present disclosure comprises: a refrigerant tank that houses, in a closed interior space, a refrigerant that removes heat from a heating element; an array of a plurality of heat pipes extending from the refrigerant tank to the outside of the refrigerant tank, each of the heat pipes having an interior wherein a passage through which the refrigerant serving as a working fluid can move is formed; and a blower fan that is outside the refrigerant tank and blows air to the plurality of heat pipes in the direction in which the heat pipes are arrayed. The cross section of each of the heat pipes, which is orthogonal to the extending direction, has a flattened shape with the blowing direction as the longitudinal direction, the upstream side in the blowing direction as the leading edge, and the downstream side as the trailing edge.
