Abstract:
Provided are a counseling method and counseling device which take into account genetic characteristics as well as external and internal risk factors, and present more appropriate skin care advice and information about cosmetics. The counseling device comprises: an acquisition unit which acquires genetic information which represents a result of a genetic test performed on a user, and stratum corneum information which represents a result of a stratum corneum test performed on the user; a skin constitution information computation unit which, on the basis of the genetic information, computes skin constitution information which represents an attribute of the user's skin; a skin capability information computation unit which, on the basis of the stratum corneum information, computes skin capability information which represents the state of the user's skin; a specification unit which, on the basis of the skin constitution information and the skin capability information, specifies a cosmetic to recommend to the user; and a presentation unit which presents to the user counseling information which includes information about skin care advice and/or the cosmetic.
