Abstract:
This crown-shaped retainer for a ball bearing comprises an annular main part, a plurality of pillars protruding axially from the main part at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction, and spherical pockets that are formed between adjacent pillars and that can hold balls. The pillars each have a pair of hooks of which the tip ends are disposed an interval apart from each other, and a connecting part that connects the pair of hooks. The bottom surface of the main part is provided with a portion that protrudes axially.
