Abstract:
[Problem] To manufacture a cup structure by forging while ensuring a flat surface of an end surface that is pressed of a peripheral portion of a material and preventing the occurrence of burrs.
[Solution] A profile 1 manufacturing method disclosed in the present description is provided with: a mounting step of mounting a material 9 to dies (mouth die 21, molding die 22); a forging step of pressing an inside portion 912 of a peripheral portion 911 of an end surface 91 of the material 9 using a molding punch 31, causing a press-contact member (punch sleeve 32) to abut against the peripheral portion 911 of the end surface 91 of the material 9, and shaping the profile 1 in a state in which a space S is ensured under a projection portion 4 which is formed by a part of the material 9 being pushed out by an opposing end surface 311 of the molding punch 31 into an relief hole 26; and an extraction step of extracting the profile 1 from the molding punch 31 by pushing out a peripheral portion 8 of the profile 1 by means of the punch sleeve 32.
