Abstract:
Prepared are: a rotating holder (2) capable of receiving an electrode tip (11) for spot welding; and a cutting member (3) including a cutting-edge section (3d) and a flank face section (3b). A reception face section (2c) and the flank face section (3d) are subjected to a surface treatment by blasting so as to form rough face sections (2d, 3e). Then, the cutting member (3) and the rotating holder (2) are mounted on a tip dresser (10). Thereafter, the electrode tip (11) is received by the reception face section (2c) and the flank face section (3b) while the rotating holder (2) is rotated, thereby causing the cutting-edge section (3d) to cut and reproduce the leading end section (11a) of the electrode tip (11).
