Abstract:
This cutting tool is equipped with a cutting edge portion comprising a cubic boron nitride sintered body. The cutting edge portion has a flank face, a rake face continuous with the flank face, and a cutting blade located at the ridge line of the flank face and the rake face, the arithmetic mean height Sa of the flank face is 0.5 μm to 3.0 μm, Sa being measured in accordance with ISO 25178-2:2012, and the oxygen concentration of the flank face is 10 mass% to 50 mass%.
