Abstract:
According to the present invention, a battery comprises: a wound electrode body (14) formed of a long positive electrode (11) and a long negative electrode (12) that are wound with a separator therebetween; a nonaqueous electrolyte; and an external can for accommodating the electrode body (14) and the nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode (12) has a non-facing part (60) that is wound, without facing the positive electrode (11), to the winding start side from a facing part (59) which faces the winding inner side of a starting end (11a) of the positive electrode (11) in the winding direction. The battery comprises a negative electrode lead (21) which is joined to the non-facing part (60) and is wound 0.75 turns or more.
