Abstract:
This damping-force generation mechanism has therein a flow passage through which a fluid flows, and comprises: a valve body that has an elastically deformable elastic part and a pressure reception part which receives the pressure of the fluid; a valve seat which is provided around a flow passage port of the flow passage and with which the pressure reception part can make contact; and a support that supports the outer edge of the elastic part and that is provided to a constituent part forming at least a portion of a back pressure chamber which applies back pressure on the valve body toward the valve seat.
