Abstract:
A data compression method belongs to the field of data processing. The method comprises: obtaining the data to be compressed and m reference data blocks, m being greater than 1 and being an integer (201); and matching the data to be compressed with the m reference data blocks to obtain at least one indexing code, each indexing code including a reference data block identifier and a string information, each reference data block identifier indicating a reference data block in m reference data blocks, each string information signifying the location information in the reference data block for consecutive strings in the data to be compressed (202). The compression efficiency is enabled to be increased by compressing the data to be compressed by multiple reference data blocks.
