Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for identifying a rogue base station. The method comprises: receiving broadcast signaling of a base station in a camping cell in a cell selection stage, and obtaining a first risk coefficient according to the broadcast signaling and pre-stored neighboring cell information of a neighboring cell of the camping cell; when a position is changed, receiving position update acknowledgment signaling from the base station after a position update process is executed, and obtaining a second risk coefficient according to the position update acknowledgment signaling; in a connection establishment stage, receiving information content from the base station, and obtain a third risk coefficient according to the information content; performing calculation according to the first risk coefficient, the second risk coefficient and the third risk coefficient, so as to obtain a prejudgment result; and when the prejudgment result exceeds an identification threshold, giving a risk prompt that the base station is a rogue base station. The present invention resolves the problem of an existing malicious information prevention policy failing to identify a rogue base station.
