Abstract:
Disclosed are a data processing method and a related device, which are used for increasing the network throughput in a dual connectivity scenario. In the embodiments of the present application, a target base station only sends a first message to a network element of a core network after determining that the network element of the core network has completed a bearer change of an inter-station handover, such that the core network establishes, according to the first message, a user plane bearer, between a secondary base station and the network element of the core network, of a terminal that accesses the target base station, that is to say, a flow of adding the secondary base station is initiated by means of the first message once the target base station and the network element of the core network complete the bearer change, thereby avoiding the failure of the target base station adding the secondary base station as a secondary carrier due to the fact that the core network cannot simultaneously process the bearer change of the terminal between the target base station and the secondary base station during the process of processing the bearer change of the inter-station handover, increasing the success rate of adding the secondary carrier, reducing the data handover drop-off delay, and thus increasing the network throughput of a base station after the inter-station handover and improving the user experience.
