A data processing method and a related device. The method can be used in the field of artificial intelligence. The method comprises: a terminal device inputting data to be processed into a first neural network, to obtain a first intermediate result, and sending the first intermediate result to a server; the server inputting the first intermediate result into a second neural network to obtain a second intermediate result, and sending the second intermediate result to the terminal device; and the terminal device inputting the second intermediate result into a third neural network to obtain a prediction result corresponding to the data to be processed. The number of neural network layers in the first neural network or the third neural network deployed on the terminal device is changed at two different moments, i.e., a first moment and a second moment, and different intermediate results are sent between the terminal device and the server at the different moments, so that the degree of user data privacy protection is further improved.
