Abstract:
The present invention discloses a data transmission method, an associated apparatus and a communication system. The method comprises: a first gateway receiving a first application layer message transmitted from a terminal to an application server, wherein the first application layer message is an MQTT-SN message; if the first application layer message does not include a terminal identifier field, the first gateway generating a second application layer message according to the first application layer message, or if the first application layer message includes the terminal identifier field and the length of the terminal identifier field is less than or equal to a predetermined length, the first gateway generating the second application layer message according to the first application layer message; and the first gateway transmitting the second application layer message to the application server. The second application layer message includes an application identifier of the terminal, and the application layer identifier is for the application server to identify the terminal. The present invention reduces overhead of a terminal for transmitting an application layer identifier and saves air transmission resources.
