Abstract:
The embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of databases, and in particular to a data transmission method and device, which are used for reducing the overhead of data transmission between various nodes in a distributed database and relieving the network load. In the embodiments of the present invention, a DN determines a column which is to be transmitted and has a distribution rule and a distribution rule of a parameter in the column to be transmitted; the DN determines, according to the data type of the parameter in the column to be transmitted and the distribution rule of the parameter in the column to be transmitted, a compression algorithm corresponding to the column to be transmitted; the DN uses the compression algorithm to compress the column to be transmitted; and the DN sends the compressed column to be transmitted to a target node. Thus, the present invention reduces the overhead of data transmission between all nodes and relieves the network load.
